0512, another special day that a Y.E.S like me won't be able to forget. three years ago, on this exact same day, youngsaeng's very first solo album came out. time flies. i can still remember those times when i was so excited upon hearing that he's going to release a solo album. the feeling was like a rollercoaster ride back then. he was actually supposed to release an album on April 28, 2011 but he hurt his hand while practicing and got hospitalized on April 19, 2011 so the comeback was postponed to a later date. that day when he got a hand injury is a day that i will not be able to forget for the rest of my life..why? coz it happened on my birthday. T.T the news of him getting hurt came out day after but upon knowing that he got hurt on my birthday makes me sad. and also because of that, he appeared on Running Man with a cast on his hand. poor otter. i think (if im not mistaken), that appearance in Running Man is his very first solo appearance. so it was quite memorable. if only he didn't hurt his hand. T.T

he was asked to rest for weeks so us fans waited again for the release of his solo album. all the fans waited patiently and give encouragement and ask him to get well soon. his agency decided to release his first mini album on May 12 even if his hand is not yet fully recovered because of his own determination to make his comeback soon and for the fans to not wait that long. so proud of him. actually when i found out that he got hurt, i got really worried but after seeing him in Running Man looking so handsome and happy despite having a cast on his hand, i felt really happy as well. 

back to his solo album, so the teaser came out. it was way better than i expected. everything was so good. the outfit, the sound and the way the teaser was made was absolutely awesome! the teaser vid caused a rising interest among fans and within a short time, it has already made a lot of views, risen up as the top most commented vid, top most favorite vid and the top rated vid in so many countries around the world. i was really proud of him. because of the teaser, fans became more excited for the release of the music video.

the music video and the digital tracks were released at the same time. midnight of May 12. i can still remember, i was still at work at that time and all of my colleagues are leaving already and i don't want to go home because im busy listening to his new songs. haha!! the song was a surprise coz i expected something that sounded like the one in the teaser. and the mv also. but overall, i loved it all!! i remember i spend so many days just streaming his songs in soribada to help him in online charts. the fans did help a lot because youngsaeng's songs and album got a really great response and it was on the charts for so many days.

to summarize it all, youngsaeng's solo debut was a huge success. something that he himself didn't even expect. the physical album was on top of hanteo charts for weeks and his title track Let It Go was on the top 10 in most of the online charts. i think he's still on the Top 20 during his good bye stages. the digital sales are really good as well. he even almost made it to the number 1 spot in music bank if only the digital sales are slightly better than f(x) hehehe. but being at the 2nd place during that time was such an achievement already. ^^

after he finish his military service, i hope he will able to experience this kind of huge success again in terms of his album releases and i truly hope he can win awards already because he truly deserves to have not just one but a lot of it.
